After The Expo!

Today the Pharm-A-Temp team spent the day networking with students at the Victorian Pharmacy College.

We had a busy day discussing the present and future working careers of students currently studying pharmacy. We had conversations regarding part time opportunities for first, second and third year students and also had many enquiries regarding pre-reg positions for 2009.

So we will be busy contacting our pharmacy clients encouraging them to consider taking on a pre-reg student next year. It is a very rewarding process and often results in a more permanent relationship with newly qualified pharmacists staying on with organizations that have supported them through the pre-reg year.

It was fun to meet our future professional colleagues but also enlightening to find out the difficulties some students have had in obtaining part time experience in pharmacy. We have had great feedback from clients about how beneficial it has been to employ pharmacy students as their enthusiasm and knowledge has been put to good use in many stores.

When contacting us with requests for employment or employees, it helps to give us as much information as possible so that we can quickly match people together. We pride ourselves on our communication skills but we need your input to make successful partnerships so please be specific about what you want and need so we don’t waste any of your valuable time and/or money.

We look forward to working together with our current and future clients to place many of the students we spoke to today. The students need training and support to continue to grow their professional skills and our clients need fresh ideas and current knowledge to improve their businesses so it has to be an ideal match!
